Analysis on the students and teaching material: 1. This reading passage is about a play the fair lady. 2. The grammar is about using the past participle as adverbial.

Teaching aims By the end of the class, students will be able to: 1. Understand, analyze and discover the rules, meaning and function of the usage of the past participle as adverbial.

2. Use the past participle as adverbial in daily communication.

1. Review what has been learned in the previous class about the play fair lady. Retell the plot of the story and fill in the blanks with the past participle. 2. Explain the different usages pf past participle. II. Present 1. Pick out the sentences in the summary about the past participle as adverbial and present the five functions of it. （时间，原因，条件，让步，伴随）

2. Pay attention to: (1) Conjunction+V-ed （连词+过去分词）
