Step 1: Lead-in Greetings! Our English motto: Dream high, dream fly! Everyone has their dreams, so students talk about their dreams and know about their schoolmates’

dreams by watching a report. The above dreams are mainly about themselves, while some persons’

dreams are about their country. Show some pictures about Chairman Xi-Chinese Dream and Martin Luther King,Jr-American Dream. Let’s go into King’s dream. Today we’ll learn unit 3 Using language - I have a dream.

Step 2: Reading passage First, know about Martin Luther King, Jr. Then, do fast-reading.

Read the passage fast and answer the following questions.Find the correct paragraphs of each part and then match the main idea with each part:

made by Martin Luther King, Jr. And Pay attention to the intonation and rhythm of the speech. Ask students to practise this famous speech in group and then come to the front to imitate King’s speech. Next, do detailed-reading. Answer the following questions: 1.Why is the speech so powerful and moving? 2.Group discussion: Find the five rhetoric methods in the passage and find the sentences to support their ideas.
