1) correct other students’ grammar mistakes in the composition;

2) express time and place correctly in the composition after doing some exercises;

3) rewrite their composition logically.

Stage 1

Getting students ready for learning

T: Please take out your exam paper and reread your writing task. Stage 2 Present

(5 mins)

T: Before we writing, we’d better do the following four steps.

Step1--- read instrucitons carefully, step2---- write an outline, step3--- finish the first draft,step 4--- write on your answer sheet. However, most of your skip to step 4, regardless the first 3 steps. Actually, if you want to write a perfect composition, the first 3 steps are of great importance.

Stage 3 Practice

(20 mins)

Step1: Grammar proofreading

T: there are 10 sentences picked from your papers. Each sentence has one or more mistakes. Please find them out and correct them.

Step 2: logic mistakes

T: As a perfect composition, besides grammar correction, another important part is its logic, but most of time you are not clear about logic and sometimes you even make some logic mistakes.

Step3: Correction

Aimed at

raising students’ awareness of reading and broaden our horizonsas well as enrich our knowledge by reading,

it was held in the meeting hall last Saturday. There were many kinds of activities including new books displaying, old books selling or exchanging and so on, which attracted a large number of students and

teachers to participate.

I thought this activity not only broadened our horizons but also strengthened students’ friendship. It was in this activity that I made many friends.
