教学内容：

冀教版四年级英语下册Unit1 Hello Again! Lesson5 Where Is Danny? 学情分析：

The students of grade four of primary school have mastered some simple and related vocabulary and sentence patterns through previous study. They have laid the foundation for the study of the new class. And they have strong interest in learning English, strong imitating, curious and good at showing themselves. So I pay attention to students as the main body to stimulate their interest in learning. We should guide students to participate actively and pay attention to the cultivation of students' sense of ability. 一、教学目标：

1. To make the students master the new words: in front of, behind…

2. To make sure the students know how to use the preposition of locality to describe the localities correctly. 3. To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. 二、教学重难点：

1. To make sure the students can master the new prepositions of locality and new sentence patterns. 2. How to use the new words and sentences to express the localities correctly and skillfully in daily life. 三、教学方法：

Task-based teaching method, communicative language teaching method, games teaching method. 四、教学准备：

some pictures, some stationery

教学过程：

Step1 Greeting and Review 1. The teacher asks: How are you?

2. Put the pen at different places and ask: Where is the pen? 3. Point to a boy/girl: Where is he/she?

Step2 Presentation 1. Let a boy and a girl stand in a line: The boy is in front of the girl/ the girl is behind the boy, and ask: Where is he/she?

Show the new words: in front of/behind. 2. Show some pictures of Danny and ask: Where is Danny? 3. Listen to the tape

Step3 Practice 1. Read the text after the tape again and answer the questions: Where is Danny/Li Ming/Steven? 2. Pair work: Making dialogues. The student can ask the locality of anybody. 3. Group work: (1)Ask the students to finish Part3 by group: Let’s do it, and show the answers.

(2)The group members discuss Part4: the letters and sounds, and find out the differences of the pronunciation of the same letters, such as “ea”, “oo”…

Step4 Conclusion and Homework 1. Guide the students to conclude the leant knowledge: What have you learnt today? 2. Ask the students to finish today’s homework: Write 5 sentences with the prepositions of locality to describe a student’s locality; Recite Part2.
