一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握下列词汇：where, table, bed, bookcase, sofa, chair, desk, in, on, under, 2) 能掌握以下句型：

—Where's…?

—It's in/on/under…

②

—Where are…?

—They're in/on/under…

3) 学会运用方位介词in, on, under和where句型表述物品所在的位置。

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

培养学生整齐地摆放自己物品的生活习惯。在描述物品的位置的学习中获得英语学习的乐趣，逐步培养学生对英语学习的兴趣。

培养学生装饰自己房间的能力，教育学生热爱生活。

二、教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1) 方位介词

in , on , under 的用法。

2) Where的特殊疑问句，询问物品的位置。

2. 教学难点：

1) 学会正确描述物品作在的位置；

2) 学会询问物品的具体位置；

三、教学过程

Step 1. Revision and warming up 1. (Prepare some school things.)

T: What’s this? (There is a book in T’s hand.) S: It's a book.

T: Is this your book? (holding up a book .) S: No, it isn't. T: Where is your book? S: It's here (on the desk).

T: Very good.

(Hold up a pen, an erase, some pencils and so on. Ask the questions in the same way.) 【教学设计说明】让学生复习了上个单元的重要句型，并且自然过渡到本单元询问物品位置的句型。让学生在情景交际中感受到where is/where are...的用法。

2. T shows the picture in the PPT and asks Ss to find where the boy is/where the boys are.

【教学设计说明】用多张图片展示人物位置，让学生清晰看到和感受到人物的方位，并引导学生能初步用in, on, under描述方位。

T asks questions and Ss answer T: Where am I? Ss: You're in the classroom. T: Where is he/she? Ss: He/She is in the classroom. T: He/She is on his/her chair. Ss: Where are we? T: We're in the classroom. Ss: Where are you? T: We're in the classroom. Ss: We’re on our chairs. （回答不唯一）

Step 2

Work on 1a.

Now please look at this picture. You can also look at your English book. And tell me what can you see in this picture. Can you match the words with the things in the picture?

Invite Ss to come to the whiteboard. Ss point out the things in the picture and match the words with the letters.

Step 3

Work on 1b. Listening practice. 1. Ss listen to the tape and number the pictures in 1a.

Invite Ss to say the answers and read the sentences for other Ss.

Step 4

Listening and speaking practice 1. Ss listen to the tape again and complete the conversation in 1a.

Invite Ss to say their answers and read the sentences for other Ss.

Ss read the conversation after all the words disappear. 2.

Ss work in a group of 4 to have a role-play by using the conversation in 1a. 3.

Ss make a conversation themselves by using their school things. Ss should use in, on and under to make sentences. T can make an example first.

Step 5

Find the differences 1.

T shows two similar pictures. There are some differences in the pictures.

Ss should find them out and tell the class where the differences are. 2.

Check answers: T shows the positions of the things in picture A and B. And Ss should say the whole sentences. 3.

T asks a question about the two pictures: Where are the books?

Ss answer: They’re in the bookcase. 4.

Ss ask questions about the positions of other things in the picture.

Eg: Where is the TV?

It’s in the room.

Step 6

Play a game: design your room

Ss should design their rooms by using the things behind the picture in the ppt. Then T and other Ss should

grade the rooms 1-5(points). Only one S from each group can design the rooms.
