2.What do you like to do in spring? Step 2: Presentation Show some pictures and learn new words and phrases Step 3: Comic strip 1.Watch the carton and answer the questions: (1) What’s between the hills? (No more than 6 words) (2) Do they need to go up or go down again? (No more than 6 words) 2.Work in pairs and act out the comic strip. Step 4: Learn about the directions 1.Show a map of China and say:

2.Show the eight directions and ask students to read after the teacher.

3.Play games. Step 5: Think, spot and make up a new dialogue 1.Deal with Part A on Page 43. 2.Show the hints and ask students to work out the rules of telling the directions. 3.Read the map and make up a new dialogue: A: Where is …?
