Teaching procedures: Step1:Lead-in (1).Greetings. (2).Divide the students into 4 teams.If they answer the questions correctly and clearly, the team will get one point. (3).Let students sing the song“I love my family”together. Step2:Presentation (1).Let students enjoy looking at a family photo of a famous actor and an actress.Teach students the new words: “actor”“actress”by showing students the parents’photos. (2).Task1:Guess.Before reading, guess the picture in the story:Who are they? (3).Task2:Watch and answer a question:What does Zoom’s mother do? (4).Task3:Enjoy reading.

a.Read picture1 and ask：Who’s that woman？

Who’s that man？Let students understand they are Zoom’s parents.(Ask two students to read the dialogue.) b.Read picture2:Teacher asks students“Is Zoom’s mother beautiful？”.Students answer“Yes，she is”.So Zip says“She is beautiful”. Teacher says to a girl“You are beautiful.”The girl answers:“Thank you”.(Let students read after the computer.) c.Read picture3.(Let students read after the computer.Zoom is very proud , so students should pay attention to the intonation.)Let students guess Zoom’s father’s job. d.Read picture4 ,picture5 and picture6. Let students discuss: Is Zoom really beautiful?Why？（开放性题目，学生年级较低，可中文回答。）

(5)Task4:Little actor. a.Let students work in groups and act the story out. (Pay attention to your pronounciation and

intonation.) b.Let students role play the story on the stage.Other students can decide the points.(Teacher and students can point out the advantages and disadvantages.) (6)Task5:Enjoy teacher’s family photo.Teacher introduces her lovely family and ask students:Do you want a lovely family? Teacher leads students to think what we can do to make a lovely family.We have to work hard and sacrifice myelf to make a lovely family. Step3:Homework: a.Role play the story after class or retell the story to your parents. b.Find some photos about your parents (or draw a picture about your parents), and introduce the pictures to other students next class.
