Unit 6 In a nature park Teaching Content：Part B Let’s learn

Teaching Objectives: Knowledge Objective: Students can listen, write, read and speak out the new words: house, village, tree,bridge and building.

Ability Objective: Students can use the new sentences to make conversation.

Emotional Objective: Students can protect the environment in their daily life.

Teaching Key Point:

Key words: house, village, tree,bridge and building. Key sentence:

Are there any lakes on the mountain?

Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.

Teaching Difficult Point: How to describe some places by using correct words and sentences.

Teaching Procedure:

Warm-up:

1: Greet students; 2: Show some pictures and ask students to describe them through “there be” sentence.

Presentation & Practice: 1:Show some pictures of the house in different countries, and guide students to guess the meaning of “house”; 2:Write the word “house”

on the blackboard and lead students to read it loudly and correctly; 3:Present the word “forest” which already learned in Section A, and say “There are many trees in the forest”; 4:Write the word “tree” on the blackboard and lead students to read it loudly and correctly; 5:Show the picture of “village” and “building”, and ask students to make a comparison. 6:Ask students what they will need if they want across the river without a boat. Lead them to guess “bridge”.

Consolidation: 1:Present the picture in Let’s learn, and ask students to describe it through “There be” sentence. 2:Use the same picture to talk about it through “Are there” sentence and answer it by “Yes, there are.” or “No, there aren’t.”

3:Do the exercise in Write and Say.

Summary: 1: What’s missing? 2:Present the key words and key sentences through screen and lead students to read it.

Homework: 1:Listen and recite the new words; 2:Finish the relevant workbook exercises; 3:Preview next lesson.

Teaching Reflection: In this lesson, I haven’t give students to much time to practice the new sentences. And I haven’t introduce the structure of the sentences in detail.
