I Warm-up

1.Daily greetings.

2. Teacher plays a song ,students enjoy and sing . II Preview 1.Play a game: Catch a helicopter.

2 What’s the date?

Teacher shows a calendar and introduce The Labour Day holiday.

III Presentation

1.Teacher plays the video, students watch and answer :Where did John go over the Labour Day holiday?

2.Teacher shows some pictures of grapes ,Turpan ,fell off.

3.Teacher plays the tape ,students listen and write answers on the book: What did he do?

4.Students read this dialogue and circle the past tenses .

5.Role—play. Teacher gives stars to students.

6.Students think and judge.

7.Students do some translation.

IV Consolidation and Extension

1 Show some pictures and share Mr Black ‘s vacation.

Students finish the exercises in group and check together.

本课时是PEP小学英语六年级下册Unit 3 Where did you go?第一课时，是一节会话课。本课时重点教学如何询问在某个时间所做的事情及所去过的地方。六年级学生已经具备了一定的英语基础，动词过去式也有了一点积累。在教学中，我尽量创设情境，让学生在不同的语境中操练语言。首先，热身中的歌曲，游戏以及free talk,为新对话学习营造了浓浓的过去式氛围。其次，本课时教学活动的设计具有层次性和递进性，充分发挥了学生的主动性和积极性。针对主体部分的对话，我设计了观看视频，听录音回答问题，圈出过去式，并与一般现在式对比的活动，操练中有角色扮演，口头翻译，以及判断对错等练习。再次，教学设计中始终联系学生的生活经验和实际生活，让学生在课上学，学以致用。我设计了Mr Black 的假期和我本人去北京的展示环节，让学生体验书本与生活的联系。最后，输出环节中，我让学生写下自己记忆中难忘的一天，由此展开话题，学生在自己的切身经历中找到知识的切入点，练习有兴趣，有实效。
