Teaching targets: 知识目标：1. 掌握单词和短语spell, please, a map, an orange等。

2.熟练运用Spell it, please句型，练习拼写所学的有关事物的单词。

能力目标：1. 能听懂辨认物品、拼写单词的对话，并能熟练运用此对话。

2. 能尽可能多的记住课堂上出现的表示物品的名词。

3. 掌握字母I—R的发音、顺序及书写规范。

情感目标：提高对身边事物的感知力，激发求知欲望，培养学生对未知事物的探究兴趣。

Teaching important and difficult points: 本节课的教学重点是听音补全单词，掌握“请求单词拼写帮助”的句型:Spell it, please.以及“向他人确认物品英文名称”的句型A: What’s this/that in English? B: It’s a/an… 教学难点是记住8个单词的拼写和上述句型的熟练运用。

Teaching process and methods:

通过听、读、说等活动培养学生良好的听力能力和口头表达的能力；通过独学、结对学等方式，学会正确读写本堂课

新学表示物体的单词及目标句型。

Teaching aids: 多媒体、教材、教案。

Teaching steps: Step 1. Lead-in (1)

Review the words and the English letters learned in Period 1. The teacher leads in reading them first. Then ask some Ss to read them. (2)

Review the old sentence patterns on the screen: A: What’s this / that in English?

Ss practice asking and answering in half. Step 2. Pre-listening Present the pictures in 3a. T:Can you say out the things in English? Step 3. While-listening (1)

3a. Play the tape. Ask Ss to listen and number the pictures. Check the answers. (2)

3b. Play the tape. Ask Ss to listen and complete the words in 3a. Check the answers. (3)

3c. Play the tape. Ask Ss to listen the conversations. Then ask Ss to do pairwork.Guide interpretation of the sentence patterns .
