Teaching Design of Unit 6 Do you like bananas? (Reviewing by topics) Ⅰ.Teaching contents: Unit 6: words, grammar and expressions.

Ⅱ.Teaching objectives:

1, Ability objectives: By the end of this class, students should be able to:

1) understand the words in Unit 6 better;

2) distinguish the differences of countable nouns and uncountable

nouns;

3) use the following expressions in brief conversations fluently:

“Do you like…?”

“Does he like…”

2, Affection objective: Building the knowledge of healthy eating

habits. Ⅲ.Teaching methods:

Audio lingual method; Read and repeat; Presentation; Question—answer. Ⅳ.Important/ Difficult points:

It’s important to let our students have a better understanding about the expressions: “Do you like bananas?”

“Does he like salad?” And the better understanding about the new words is also important.

However, training our students to apply the expressions to the conversations, even the topics is quite hard to achieve.

Ⅴ.Teaching procedures:

Step 1, Warming up by reading and reviewing;

Step 2, Leading in with our topic “Healthy Eating Habits”;

Step 3, Reviewing about the words;

Step 4, Reviewing about the expressions;

Step 5, Listening and playing;

Step 6, Pair work and presentation;

Step 7, Summarizing by practicing;

Step 8, Extending and homework. Ⅵ.Teaching reflection:

The best education should be the one which not only brings the knowledge to our students, but also makes them feel enjoyable. And for a very long time, I just treat these words as the belief of my teaching career. In order to achieve such belief, I’m always on the way of finding, practicing and improving. From my perspective, we should, at least, respect our students, including their learning condition, their affection, their thoughts and even their interests. And our teaching activities should be carried out on this base.

I almost tried my whole best to make this class more perfect. Whereas, because of the lacking of experience and time, there will be still

so many imperfections, which is just the direction that I should pay attention.
