V.Teaching Process Step 1: Warm-up

1.Greetings.

T: Good morning/afternoon, class.

Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Mr/Miss，

T: Welcome back to class. Nice to see you again.

Ss: Nice to see you, too.

T: How are you today?

Ss: Very well, thanks.

2.Teacher take out the textbook and put it on the desk.Then say :“The book is on the desk.”Put the book under the desk and say:“The book is under the desk.”Then put the book in the drawer and say:“The book is in the desk.” Students can take out the things brought by themselves and do what the teacher did before.

Step 2: Preview

Teacher present the picture of desk,chair, hat,ball,car,boat,map,toy box,box etc.Students need to say the relevant words out loud. Then the teacher will write the words on the blackboard,play the game “Devil’s advocate” to practice the words.

Step 3: Presentation

1. Let’s check.

(1)Listen and tick(√) or cross (×).

①Ask students to observe the wall charts and describe the position of things in the charts.

②Play the tape and ask students to judge if the picture is consistent with the contents they’ve heard.

③Listen to the tape again and check the answers together.

④Ask students to read after the tape,and remind them to imitate the sounds and tones. (2)Look and tick(√).

①Present the charts of this part, ask students to use the sentence “What’s...?”and “It’s ...”to discuss what’s in the picture.

②Students choose the corresponding words in the chart.

2. C. Story time.

(1)Teach the important sentences in the story.

①T: Let’s make our arms short. (use TPR)Are you ready?

②Teacher ask the whole class to close their eyes and hide her own textbook,then say：“Where is my book? I can’t find it. (making exaggerating gestures while say it, help students to understand the meaning of ‘I can’t find it.’)”Students use the sentence“Is it...？” to guess.

③Teacher can use the seat relationship to lead to the word “Behind”.

(2)Present the pictures on the PPT, ask students to guess the contents of the picture. (3)Play the cartoon and make a proper explanation to help the students understand the main contents of the story.

(4)Play the tape and ask students to answer the question：Where is Zip？

(5)Help students to understand the story by explaining some of the language points in the dialogue. (6)Ask students to read after the tape, then role play. (7)Ask some of the students to act out the story.

1.at表示“在„„处”，一般指较小的比较具体的地点. Eg：

He isn’t at school. He is at home.

2.in表示“在„„内部；在„„里面”，

Eg：

3.on表示“在某物的上面”，但两者互相接触，

Eg：

4.under表示“在某物垂直的正下方”，两者之间不接触。

5.behind表示“在某物体的后面”，

Eg：

The broom is behind the door.

6.in front of表所“在„„的前面”，与behind相反。

Eg：

There are some big trees in front of our classroom. 7.near表示“在某物体的附近”，意为“接近，靠近”，

The ball is near the door.
