There are many kinds of signs. Some signs tell us what to do. They are called ‘Information signs’. Some signs tell

us where to go and how to go. They are called ‘Guiding signs’. Other signs tell us what not to do and where not to go. They are called ‘Warning signs’. And there are some special signs which give us hints and suggestions. They are called ‘Suggestive signs’. Signs are easy to know. Signs are easy to read. Signs make our life better.

教学文本1 There are many kinds of signs. Some signs tell us what to do. They are called ‘Information signs’. Some signs tell us where to go and how to go. They are called ‘Guiding signs’. Other signs tell us what not to do and where not to go. They are called ‘Warning signs’. And there are some special signs which give us hints and 4

suggestions. They are called ‘Suggestive signs’. Signs are easy to know. Signs are easy to read. Signs make our life better. 

教学文本2 Hansel and Gretel’s stepmother does not like them. ‘I’ll leave them in the forest,’ she says to herself. Hansel hears her. So he puts some stones in his pocket. The next day the stepmother takes the children into the forest. On the way to the forest, Hansel drops the stones. Soon they are in the middle of the forest. Their stepmother says, ‘Stay here. I’ll come back later.’ But she does not come back. Gretel: Where’s our stepmother? When will she come back?

Hansel: She will not come back. Gretel: How do you know that? Hansel: She wants to leave us in the forest. I heard her yesterday. Gretel: Oh, no! There are no signs here. We can’t find the way back home! We are lost!

Hansel: Don’t worry. Yesterday I put some stones in my pocket. I dropped the stones on the way here. we can follow them back home. Hansel and Gretel find their way back home. Their father is very happy to see them again.
