Show pictures, sentence patterns and try to describe the animals (Review the chant:Be fat,be fat, be fat fat fat...) 2.
Fill the blanks. Use the words short, long, big, small, thin, fat tall and short to describe the animals. 3.
Compare the sentences and make a summary:

Practice: Activity 1:
Show students some pictures about animals and let students describe them one by one
Activity 2:
Guessing game. Student one picks one word card and describe the animal, the others guess what is it?(Divide the students into two groups: girls group and boys group and find who are winners?)
Activity 3: Hand out drawings to students one by one, use the sentences pattern “It is... ”and “It has...” to describe the animals then show us.

本节课的目标是要让学生学会使用句型“It’s...”和“It has...”去描述动物的外形特征以及身体部位,总的来说本节课是一堂复习课,句型在A和B部分中已经学习,需要在课堂中反复练习,让学生更加熟悉。本节课的成功之处是通过设计了描述教师所出教示的单词卡片、游戏“你来描述我来猜”以及根据所给图片完成学句子三个环节的活动练习,让学生充分掌握了句型的使用。但是,反本节课也有一些不足之处:对于句型“It has...”的使用,学生容思
易出现“a”和“-s”混用的情况,由于三年级学生接触英语的时间还相对较短,语法知识不强,对于这部分的讲解应该再细致一些,练习应该更充分一些。
