Let's enjoy a video which is about the Asian Football Cup. The competition was between Iran football team and Chinese football team. 2. Which team won the football game ? 3. Think about the question what is winning for you ? 4. Learn some new phrases.

Step 2 Reading: Part 1 Fast reading Read the article quickly and answer these questions. How many teams are talked about in this article? What are they? Then teacher check the answers. There are three teams: the Eagles, the Kangaroos and the Bears.

Part 2 Detailed reading 1.What’s the structure of the text? 2.In para1, why does the writer say “the goal should not have counted”? Because the Eagles’

captain knocked the ball to the ground with his hand, which is not allowed in football game 3. How many matches are talked about in this article? Which team won in each match? Four matches. In the first match, between the Eagles and the Kangaroos, the Eagles won. However, the Eagles lost in the next match. In the tournament, the Kangaroos defeated the Eagles by a score of 5 to 1. And in final match, the Kangaroos lost to the Bears by 0 to 1. Part 3 After reading What can we learn from the Kangaroos? In defeat, the Kangaroos found something more precious than victory, such as friendship, honor and respect. Part 4 Have a think Later, a reporter asked the Eagles’

captain what had happened? ‘We won, and that is all that matters,’ the captain said. Later, a reporter asked the Kangaroos’

From their answers, what other things can you think of?

Failure and success---There is no absolute failure and success in this

world, they can exchange between each other. Remember: Failure is the mother of success. Opportunism---You shouldn’t always depend on opportunity, you should depend on more hard work, Because opportunities are only for those who are well-prepared.

Mild attitude---Confidence and optimistic attitude are more helpful for us to be successful.

Hard work----

We can’t create miracle with our imagination, but hard work can.
