Lesson10 The Great Wall 一、教材分析

1.单元及课文分析

本课是冀教版《英语》（三年级起点）五年级下册第2单元第10课The Great Wall 。本单元的题目是“In Beijing”，讲授了“在北京”的话题。单元围绕着Jenny, Li Ming, Danny这三个小主人公在北京参观天安门、故宫、长城以及在北京购物等一系列有趣的生活情景展开，本单元在引导学生学习关于中国首都北京名胜古迹的词汇和短语，学生要掌握基本的旅游词汇；能够讨论应该做和不应该做的事情，可以就所观察到的身边事物进行对话，能够谈论人们正在做的事情。

本课“The Great Wall”是本单元内容其中一篇，讲述了Jenny, Li Ming, Danny参观长城发生的事情。学生在学习的过程中，运用英语语言读懂文本、提高了阅读技能，更重要的是学生在学习如何描述长城的过程中，体会到语言学习的乐趣，增强自信心和成就感。

2.学情分析

授课对象为五年级学生，学生心理比较成熟，语感基本形成，理解能力表达能力较强。所以本节课应充分调动学生的积极性，发挥学生的潜能，发散学生的思维。

3.教学重点

能够用所学知识简单地介绍长城。

4.教学难点

能够简单地介绍其他的名胜古迹。

5.教学准备

多媒体、北京其他名胜古迹等的资料（前参）。

二、教学目标



知识与技能目标：

（1）掌握词汇：stop, wait, feel, tired, afraid （2）学生能用所学语言介绍长城。



学习策略目标：

（1）通过评价反思，发展自我调控策略；

（2）养成听录音和跟读句子的习惯。



情感态度目标：

（1）提高学习英语的兴趣，乐于阅读。

（2）增强孩子爱国意识。

三、教学步骤

StepIClass Opening （4 minutes）

1.Greeting T: Hello, everyone! How are you today?

Ss: I’m fine, thanks.

2.Groups

T:Spring is coming. Do you want to have a trip ? S:Yes. T:Where will

want to go? S:Beijing.------ T:What do you know about Beijing? S:(Beijing Duck is famous.. /Bird`s Nest /Water Cube

/Summer Palace/Beihai Park/ Fragrant Hill/ Happy valley/ The Great Wall/ The Palace Museum---Beijing has many beautiful places. T：First,let`s go to the Great Wall .Today Li Ming, Jenny and Danny went to the Great Wall too.Let`shave two groups.One is ourclassmatesgroup.One is Li Ming, Jenny and Danny group.

学生运用已有知识，大胆发言，可以从食物、名胜古迹、人口等等方面描述学生所知道的北京，) T: Today we will talk about the Great Wall.(用手指板书题目) Step IINew Concepts 1.Introduction（2minutes）（由激趣导入新授）

T: What do you know about the Great Wall?

Ss: (It is very long....) （出示一些关于长城不同季节的美丽图片，学生运用已有知识，大胆发言，表述自己所知道的长城知识。) T:我们游的挺开心，李明他们那组怎么样了呢，咱们一起去看看吧。

2.Text（7minutes）（听教师范读，回答问题。) T: Today Li Ming, Jenny and Danny went to the Great Wall. Now let’s listen and underline what else do you know about the Great Wall. Ss: It’s about 2000 years old.

About 6000

kilometres. (板书关键词) T: Then they are on the way back to the hotel. Look! What happened to Danny? (PPT)Listen and answer questions. How does Danny feel on the way back? Look, this word “feel”.板书（略讲解feel字母组合ee的发音）.I feel hot/cold/angry.（做出相应热、冷、生气的样子并且通过造句让学生理解feel的意思）

Ss：Danny is tired. T: Who can show me what is tired? （板书）

Ss: Do the action about ”tired”. T: Is Danny afraid of the cars and buses? Who can show me what is afraid?（板书）

Ss: Do the action about”afraid”. T: What should we do? Ss: We should stop and wait. (板书) T: Show me what is “stop”? (用waiter/waitress引申到wait)

(设计思路：通过肢体语言、例句和词与词之间的联系处理生词,加深对课文的理解。) 3.分角色表演，巩固所学句型和单词。

Step IIIConsolidation（13minutes）

1.Look and write. T: Now let’s listen and repeat. Then finish Part 3(2).（Check in class.）

Ss: Listen and repeat. Talk and write. Check the answers.

2. To be a guide.(用导游的身份介绍北京名胜古迹。

分三组介绍北京的名胜古迹，拿出自己提前做好的前参。

T: Have you gone to the Great Wall? Ss: Yes./No. T: How about the Palace Museum? Do you like Beijing? Let’s share some pictures about other places in Beijing. Look at the PPT. What do you know about them?（板书）

Ss: (Fragrant Hill is in Beijing. There are many red leaves on the hill...) T: If you are a guide, introduce Beijing.（You can choose one or more places.）

Ss: Write and show.（带上导游胸牌，学生在展示的时候老师需在板书上对北京的名胜古迹进行更多知识的补充书写）

（设计思路：语言的学习的最终目的是为了用，学生以导游的身份介绍北京的其他名胜古迹，达到学以致用。）

Step ⅣClass Closing （3minutes）

1.自然过渡，引出本课的情感目标，爱国。

T: Do you like Beijing? Do you like China? Our country has many beautiful places. We love our country. Say ”I love China!” together. 2.Summary T: What did we learn today? Ss: ...... 3. Homework （1）.Listen and repeat the text for ten minutes. （2）.Make a poster about Beijing.（做一张关于北京的海报）
