《Lesson 14 Jenny Writes a Postcard》

一.教学目标：

1. Vocabulary: top, bottom, left, right, corner, stamp. 2. Learn how to write a postcard. 二.教学重点、难点: 1. top，bottom，left，right, corner 2．I want to send this postcard to ________ . 学生会用英语写名信片。

三．能力目标：

1. Make them can say the new words and sentences. Use them to say something about the text. 2. Know the differences between Chinese and Western postcard. 四．情感目标：

Learning English happily and work hard everyday. 五.教学教具：

word-cards, postcards，多媒体课件，奖励用的智慧星。

六.教学过程：

为了激起他们的热情，我准备了好多智慧星，随时对表现出色的予以奖励。

Step one: Revision

1.

Greeting .Say what day it is today? And review the correct day of the week and date for the actual day of the class. 2. T：Mother’s Day is coming,(课件出示日历) I’ll draw a picture for her and write something to her.(板书画出明信片的正反两面，反面待填)。Today my daughter give me a postcard,(课件出示一个中文明信片)so I’m very happy , and I’ll sing a song.利用“left, left, right, right ,go turn around ,go, go, go ...”这首歌曲导入本课的教学，学生跟音乐边唱“left, right”边随之左右拍手，然后再把歌词相应地替换成“top, bottom…”, 学生跟音乐边唱边拍手数遍.(既活跃了课堂气氛,复习了left, right，又引入两个新词top，bottom，达到在一个轻音乐缭绕的氛围中导入一项教学内容的目的.) 3．New concepts: (1) New words: bottom, top, left, right

Introduce: Use a postcard to demonstrate “top”, “bottom”, “left”, “right”, and “corner”. Write on the blackboard and read a few times together.

Ask for volunteers to show you the top, bottom, left and right of objects in the classroom. (让学生能够正确运用所学单词)

Point to the picture of a postcard on the blackboard and

ask “Where do we put the stamp?” in Chinese. Teach them the new word “stamp”. We put the stamp in the top, right corner of the postcard. Play a game.(传递单词游戏)

One by one read the word on the card. (2) 在课件中的表格里，找出所学新单词，可让个别学生到前边来指，指一个显示一个。（corner的触发器点“c”，left的触发器点“l”，right的触发器点“r”，stamp的触发器点“s”，top的触发器点“p”，bottom的触发器点“b”。）给积极踊跃的奖励智慧星。

(3)玩“Find the words”游戏。让一个学生拿着写有top, bottom, left, right, corner, stamp的单词卡贴在黑板上板书明信片的相应位置。穿插“Follow me”这个游戏然后用课件把单词放在句子中练习。（利用课件显示句子）

（设计意图：这样的导入活跃了课堂气氛, 在兴趣激昂中，复习了本节课将涉及到的单词。穿插的游戏使我们轻松地开始了这次的新授。）

Step two: New lesson First： Introduce how to write a postcard. 1. T: We know these about the postcard, but we don’t know how to write it. Oh, we forgot our friend Jenny. Let’s go and ask her how to write a postcard. Do you want to go with me? 这时，点出Jenny还有她说的话，让他们读与观察Jenny’s postcard，然后先看问题。

a. Where is the date? b. Where is the address? c. Where is the stamp? d. How to write a postcard? （设计意图：设置问题再看课文，让他们在对课文有初步了解的情况下，去积极思考，为课堂的下一步教学做了铺垫。）

2.读课文的同时教师步步设问题，让他们积极思考，主动去解决，如：Look at Jenny’s postcard. Who can tell us what does she say?答对的表现好的有小小的奖励。

设计意图：These chances can make them feel confident. 3.一点点引导出明信片的写法。（一.在明信片右边地方写收信人的地址，注意要先写收信人的姓名，再从小到大写上收信人的地址。二.内容的写法：顺序是先写日期，其次称呼，正文，最后结束语）此过程中穿插师生互动，生生互动。设计意图：The students and their partners make conversations by helping each other, so it's not difficult for them. The English teacher give the shy students more chances to show themselves. 4.解决问题。让他们拿出自己提前准备好的空白明信片，和老师一起写明信片吧。（课件中的明信片背面显示各个图标，说明什么位置写什么内容，学生说对一个显示一个示范写法。）

（设计意图：Students are very interested in this kind of tasks. All of them are glad to take part in their tasks.

They need about five minutes to prepare, then each group show their answers.）

Second: Drills

Make a postcard by yourself. Then introduce it to Danny and your classmates. 设计意图：自己动手，巩固新知。

Third: Find out the differences. (区别) Find out the differences between Chinese and Western postcard. 设计意图：知识适度拓展，进一步培养英语兴趣。

Fourth : 把成品英语明信片展示出来，让我们正确的把邮票贴上，寄送到我们最亲爱的妈妈身边吧！

Fifth : 数一数每组的智慧星，最多的为胜。

Sixth: Chant Postcard，postcard 明信片，

内容写在最左边，

别忘日期在上边；

称呼正文结束语，

祝福送到你身边！

收信地址靠右边，

从小到大不能变；

邮票贴在右上边，

准时到达不拖延. （设计意图：这时引入有发展性的英语Chant，总结本课重难点，创设兴趣情境，寓教于乐。使学生感知力、记忆力、理解力、想象力和创造力发展到事半功倍的效果。这个特殊的情景是结合教学内容，抓

住了情感喷薄点，精心预设的一个教学细节，

形成教学活动中的亮点。）

Seventh: Homework: Make a beautiful postcard for your family or your friend . （设计意图：在实践中巩固新知。）
