教学重点：

1．能听懂并认读有关体貌特征的单词，能用单词描绘看到的动物。

2. 听、说、读、写四会单词。

教学难点：

能进行简单的对动物的体貌特征进行描述。

教具、学具：pictures, cards, tape

教学过程：

I．Warm-up: Listen an English song:. II. Revision:1.Review unit2.words and sentences.

III .Presentation:

1.Look at the picture and say: Where is it? It’s so fat/ thin/ big….. New words: fat, thin, big, small, tall, short., Look at these pictures and describe.

Review these new words. 2 Play a game:

Who is faster?

What’s missing? 3.Presentation the sentence: Look at the monkey. It’s so fat.

Look at the elephant. It’s so big.

Look at the bird. It’s so small.

Look at the giraffe. It’s so tall.

Look at the duck. It’s so short.

4.Learn the dialogue. 1)Look at the picture and listen to the tape, learn the dialogue: 2)Listen again, then answer the questions: 3)New words and sentences: 4)Read the dialogue after the teacher—Read together—Read in groups. 5)Act out the dialogue. IV .Consolidation: 1.Do some homework. 2.Group work.
