IV.Teaching process Step 1 Warming up and Revision 1.The teacher shows the students some pictures about different clothes.Let the students tell what it is one by one. 2.Let’s review the words of cloths together.Then practice the dialogue in pairs.

3.Use these words to practice the dialogue in pairs. —How much is this...?

Step 2 Grammar Focus 1.Show students a skirt and ask “How much is it?”.Let students answer “It’s ... dollars”.

2.Show students a pair of socks and ask “How much are these socks?”. Let students answer “They’re ... dollars”.

3.Explain the differences between the two dialogues.Let the students read the Grammar Focus and practice the sentences in pairs. Step 3 Practice(Work on 3a) 1.Let students make some sentences by using the words on the right.Pay attention to the usage of

singular forms and plural forms of the nouns. 2.Choose some pairs to read the dialogues in front of the class. 3.Let students talk about the changing rules. （1）the/this/that+表示颜色的形容词+单数可数名词，用how much is...提问，用It’s ...回答。
