A Lively City 的Reading and Vocabulary的短文阅读。继上一个模块My First Ride on a Train 之后，本模块以My Neighborhood为话题，用一篇对话的形式，以简洁的文字向人们展示了厦门市的地理位置，气候以及城市概况，如旅游景点、建筑、商业区等，旨在通过阅读，使学生可以掌握厦门的概况，并且了解描述我们的城市。 三．教学目标

语言知识目标：

Develop students’ basic skills of reading and speaking. Reading is the focus in this lesson. Let the students learn the useful new words and expressions in the passage. 语言技能目标：

Let students grasp some new words and expressions to describe a place. To train students’ scanning, skimming and summarizing ability during reading the text. 情感态度目标：

Arouse the students’ love for our country and their hometown . Raise students’ cooperation awareness in their study by pair work or group work. 四．教学重点和难点：
