Teaching aims: 1. Ss get more familiar with the sentence patterns: Where are you? Under the…? In the …?

2. Ss will be able to understand the word: table/bed and the sentences: let’s play hide and seek. Are you ready? I can’t find you. I’m behind you!

3. Ss will be able to understand the story and read it fluently. 4. Ss will be able to act out the story. Students condition: Grade 3 students usually are between age of 9 to 10, they are usually playful but with little English-learning experience. they are not fluent in English, some even don't dare to speak. it's quintessential to appreciate their progress and develop their interest in learning English by encouraging them to speak confidently, practice actively and sing loudly.

Teaching important points: 1. Ss will be able to get more familiar with the sentence patterns: Where are you? Under the…? In the …?

2. Ss will be able to understand and read the story. Teaching difficult points

Ss may have difficulty in understanding the sentence: let’s play hide and seek. Teaching Procedures:

Step I: Warm up & Revision 1.

Teacher's activities: Enjoy the song: Where is the toy car? Students' activities: Ss: Enjoy the song. 2 . What do you see? Purposes:歌曲热身,营造气氛,回顾旧知。

Step II：Presentation & Practice 1.

Teacher's activities : Present Zip’s room.

T: Where is the toy car?

Students' activities: Ss: It's in /on under the bed/table….

Purposes:1.描述房间里面的摆设,为下文猜做铺垫。

Teacher's activities : Ask students to guess: Where’s Zip? PPT shows: Zip is on the bed. He is watching a TV show.（播放小猪佩奇一家捉迷藏的动画视频）

Students' activities: Choose the right name of the game. (hide and seek) Purposes:学生通过观察、感知游戏hide and seek。

3. Teacher's activities : T presents the picture of Zoom and Zip want to play hide and seek. Students' activities: Students use the imagination to make a jigsaw of pictures. 4. Teacher's activities :

T: Now, we check the answer together. Students'activities: Watch the video together. Students and teacher check the answer. 5. Read the story after the tape 6. Finish the blank Step III ：Consolidation & Extension 1. Teacher's activities: T asks Ss to continue the story. Zip:1,2,3…10. Are you ready?

Zoom:Yes! ……

Students' activities: Ss discuss in groups of two and think about it. 2.Role –play Choose several group to act the story.

StepIV: Homework: 1.

Read and imitate the story. 2.

Retell the story.
