Unit 3 Staying Healthy (The first period)教学设计

海宴中心小学伍慕贤一. Teaching Aims:

1. knowledge aims:

(1)四会掌握单词plenty , too much , good for you , bad for you , healthy,enough,not enough,all,water. 能听、说、读单词unhealthy,cheese,a lot of 能理解junk food.

(2)四会掌握三个动词词组“Get plenty of exercise. Eat plenty of … Drink a lot of …”;会听、说、认读句子“What’s good / bad for …? Too much … is bad for you .

2. Abilities aims:

(1)通过对本课单词、短语、句型、对话的学习,培养学生获得如何询问和描述身体健康方面的问题及建议。学生能够以正确的语音、语调朗读对话。

(2)学生能够正确回答关于对话的提问。

(3)通过多种形式的操练,锻炼和培养学生听、说、读、写方面的语言能力和交际能力。

3. Emotion aims:

(1)通过学习,学生们可以了解到“健康”与“不健康”的生活习惯对自己健康影响。

(2)通过在与他人共同的学习中,培养学生团结友爱、关心他人健康的良好品质;增强合作意识、培养团结协作的精神。

二. Teaching key points and difficult points:

Key points:

1、学习对话中出现的新单词和句型。

2、学生能够以正确的语音、语调朗读对话。

3、理解对话内容,对“不健康”的生活习惯提出有益的建议。

Difficult points:

会用所学词组描述Good/bad for health. 并能在实际语境中灵活运用。三. Teaching aid:

预习材料,多媒体课件、词卡、图卡、学生练习表格。

四. Teaching steps:

Step 1 Warming-up & Revision

1. Greeting.

Hello, boys and girls. Are you happy today? Do you like Miss Yan? 2. Free talk:(PPT——fruit)

T:Do you like these? (出示PPT) What are these?

Ss: They’re strawberries,厂pears….

T: Yes,these are fruit. They’re good for you! (板书课题)

They’re healthy food.

Today we talk about healthy.

Step 2 Lead in and presentation.

1. 讨论:What’s healthy food? What food is good for you?

2.出示一些junk food的图片. T: Are they healthy food? Are they good for you? Ss. No, they aren’t. T: They are junk food. They are bad for you.(板书junk food,读、教学并拓展Ice cream is junk food. Cheese is junk food. J unk food is bad for Gogo./you….)

3.Pair work : What’s healthy / unhealthy ?

(PPT shows vegetables and fruits on the left, the hamburgers,hot dog… on the right)

(设计思路:通过了解哪些食物,掌握健康饮食。)

4. Chant and make chant.

Healthy. Healthy . Unhealthy. Unhealthy .

Greens are healthy . Junk food is unhealthy .

Yes ! Yes ! Yes ! No ! No ! No !

(琅琅上口的chant,突出重点、突破难点。)

5. Show two boys and compare them healthy or unhealthy.

6. To present the new words, phrases and sentences by the exercises.

Show the picture of the unhealthy boy. Let students look, read and judge the sentences.(学生通过课前自主学习,掌握词、句的音形义,减少课堂中的机械性操练时间,从而达到提高课堂实效的目的。)

Hi, I’m Ben. I never eat vegetables and fruits. I always eat chocolates, jelly, ice cream and hot dog. I drink 6 glasses of cola a day. I don’t like sports. I watch TV for 4 hours a day.

判断下列句子的对错,对的写T,错的写F,并把错的单词找出来,再改正。

7. Pair talk:读句子,用enough,not enough or too much来概括。

(PPT shows the pictures and sentences.)

②The bird:I take a bath once a day.

( enough )

③The girl: I take a bath four times a day.

( too much )

④The dog:I take a bath once a week.

(not enough )

(让学生在解决问题中充分理解、运用新知识。)

8.Group work:I can give Ben some advice.

T: Ben likes eating.He’s shopping.He likes junk food.So Ben is unhealthy. Let’s go and give him some advice.

(Watch Video: In the supermarket)

⑴ Ben(sees the cola and says):Let’s go.I like cola.I want ten cans of cola.

⑵ Ben (sees the cheese and says) :Cheese,cheese,I like cheese.

⑶ Ben (sees the vegetables and says) :Yuck.I don’t like vegetables.

⑷Ben (sees the fruits and says) :How about fruits?I like watermelons.

⑸Ben (sees the milk and says) : I don’t like milk.Can I buy any orange juice?

(设计思路:学生在shopping中帮Ben纠正错误的饮食习惯,从而完成这堂课的教学重点难点。)

Step 3 Consolidation

1.Four people Group work: Healthy tips for Ben / us….

①Too much cola is bad for!

②Too much hamburgers are bad for you!

④Enough eggs are healthy!

⑤Enough rice is healthy!

⑥Not enough vegetables are unhealthy.

⑦Not enough water is unhealthy.
