Unit 2 My Family

C Story time-Teaching plan Teaching aims:

1.Review all the words and sentence patterns students learned in this unit .

2.Students can introduce their family members using the sentence pattern they learned in this unit.

3.Students can know about the Story time , and can understand and talk about the story and role play the story .

4.Try to learn the the song 《I love my family》. Teaching key and difficult points:

1.Review the knowledge they learned before and complete the story together.

2.Students can read the story in different groups and different ways .

Teaching procedure:

1.Warm-up

Greeting:

T: How are you today ? Students: I am happy ,thank you !

T:Before the class ,Let’s sing a happy song

together .

(1)Play Let’s sing ,Students listen and sing with the music。

(2)Play part B《Let's chant》,Students listen and sing with the music.

2. Presentation

(1)Review the words they learned before : boy , girl , man , woman. And try to lead students to ask and answer questions with the sentence pattern they learned in this unit .For example : Who is that girl /boy? She/ He is .... Who is that man/ woman ? He /She is ....

(Emphasizing the distinguish between he and she again) (2)Teacher shows the new words in Story time to students and tell them the meaning of them and make sentences with the new words,thus students can know when and where they can use the words .

(3)Teacher plays the video about the Story time,and students listen and try to understand the main idea of the story . Then teacher plays the video again ,lets students listen carefully and grab the gist of the story .

(4)Teacher plays the video again ,students need to read after the video for three times . Then students read

themselves in different ways and different groups . 2.Consolidation and Extension

In this part, Teacher lets students read the story for three times,and act the story in front of the classroom .Then teacher lets students choose the best group of them and claps hands for them .

3.Homework :

1>Talk about your family members with your partner. 2>Listen to the tape again and tell your parents the story about Zoom and Zip.

5.Teaching Reflection

Before i start the class , i prepared a lot for this class and for our students , i thought the role play would be a very interesting part, but when it is on the class , students didn’t do this section well, so in the future , i will let students practice more .
