Skim and answer: When was the story? Who jumped down the rabbit hole?

What happened to Alice at the end of the story?

Know sth. about the background of the story, like the author 2)

Scan and do T/F Qs: It was a cloudy day.

Alice was playing with a rabbit. The rabbit asked Alice the time. The rabbit jumped down the hole first.

It took Alice a long time to hit the ground. Alice talked to the rabbit in the hole. Get the students to match each part with paragraphs: Part 1: ourside the hole:1,2,3 Part 2: inside the hole: 4,5

3) Read the article and answer more questions:

Para1-2: answer: Who sat by the river? What happened to Alice?

Para3: answer:

What did Alice think of the rabbit?

What did Alice do then? Para. 4-5: answer: Did Alice fall for a long time? Did Alice have any problems ?

Read the article again and do Part B2 and check the answers. 4) Read after the tape and read the article with feelings by students themselves

5) Be a story teller according to some key words Finish Part B4 without looking at the books. Ask two of the students to read their conversation and check the answers.

6) Let the students find out the simple past form of verbs in the article. Step4.

Get the students to say sth. about Alice’s personality Sample: Alice is curious, brave and careful, so she found her wonderland in the story. In fact, everybody has a dream world, if you are curious, brave and careful, maybe some day, you can find your wonderland in your life! Conclusion:
