【what】The topic of the article is Internet. In the passage the author talks about three aspects. the first one is the internet and its development. The second one is the world wide web and its development. And the last aspect the the inventor of the www--Tim Berners Lee. Through the description of these three aspects, this article shows students some basic information of the internet and Tim Berners Lee. 【why】

Students will know more about the internet, www and Tim Berners Lee. What’s more they can have a better understanding of the relationship between the internet and the www.

2. The author used many writing techniques to organize the article such as listing numbers, giving examples, For example, to show the development of the internet and the www, many numbers are used in this article.

Students analysis: The students can understand the basic information But it will be difficult for them to express themselves in English. Most of them lack the ability of analyzing the genre and structure of the article. In addition, most of them can’t infer the author’s writing intention properly.
