教学设计(Module 2 Book 1) 教学目标

Vocabulary of the topic and comprehension of the text about sandstorms in Asia. To

arouse students’ interest in the nature. To raise students’

awareness of protecting the environment. 学情分析

Students in Grade 1 whose English are not so good as we expected, they have some difficulty in reading and writing, but they are working hard. 重点难点

Study and master some words involved initially, and answer varieties of questions about the sandstorms. Improve students’

abilities of skimming andscanning reading. 教学活动

Step 1. Greeting Step 2. Lead in

Show some pictures contrasting with one another and some questions come up. Step 3. Before-reading Words learning

Ask Students to write down the new words and check their meanings. Step 4. While-reading

1. Skimming Ask Students to go through the text quickly and choose main ideas for each paragraph.

2. Scanning

Ask Students to read through the text again and answer the questions in detail. 3. Careful reading

Ask Students to fill in the form. 4. Discussion and Writing
