设计思想

高中英语的听说教学是给学生打基础的重要阶段，必须设法让学生积极主动的开口说出来，才能促进听说读写等综合素质的提高，课堂的成败往往取决于这堂课的设计思想。

教材分析

本课内容是外研版B1M2 的My New Teachers----Reading的一个课时，主要包括一些描述人物外貌和品质的形容词，用这些形容词描述自己熟悉的人，讨论并描述自己心目中的好老师，听一名外国学生对好老师的描述并与自己的比较。我结合学生的实际生活，对教材整个模块做了整合，通过创设多种情景活动，使学生积极参与课题活动，主动踊跃的发言。

学情分析

高一学生思维活跃，敢于发言，有些学生已经储备了一定的英语基础，能较好的带头展开话题讨论，各抒己见，采用多媒体教学，运用多种教学方法和手段，激发学生交流和学习兴趣，创造充满活力的课堂气氛。

教学目标

Step 1

Lead in

Step 2 Reading Look at the pictures. What are your first impressions of the three teaches? Ask students to write down the adjectives and check with their partners. Activity 1 Fast reading------reading for main idea Help students to grasp main idea of the text by doing the task. Activity 2 Detailed reading-----reading for detailed information. Activity 3 Intensive reading-----dealing with expressions Activity 1 Retell the text according to the key words in the table. Activity 2 Discuss the following questions in pairs. Activity 3 Ask students to describe their new teachers in groups of four and then give a presentation.

Step 3 Language use

Ask the class to summarize what they have learnt.

Assignments Step 4 Summary & Option 1: Rewrite the text. Homework Option 2: Recite and master 5-10 important sentences.
