Teaching objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to: 1. learn some information about the product using virtual reality 2. master the strategy of reading a business presentation and become competent in reading a business presentation 3. raise their awareness of regarding a topic as objective and critical Teaching steps: Step 1: lead in. With the help of pictures concerning future and a video about VR, students’ interest is aroused. Step2 : comprehensive reading. In reading the whole passage with questions about structure, students is able to gain a general idea of this passage. Step 3: detailed reading. Ask students to read through the whole passage carefully by means of listening, self-reading and reading together respectively. Step 4: post reading. Students are able to brainstorm other functions of RealCine and discuss with their partners. Step 5: presentation. Students are required to share their ideas with their classmates. Step6: debate. Students are guided to express their opinions on this new product and offer their reasons supporting their stand. Step 8: creative writing. Write a summary of ideas and list their reasons.

Step 9: appreciation. Appreciate a short video about the pros and cons of VR technology, thus raise students’ awareness of critical thinking and adopting a sensible attitude towards new technology.

Step 10: homework (further writing). Ask students to polish up their summary, which can consolidate their knowledge.
