教材分析：

本文内容取自牛津高中英语模块四第二单元Reading，主题为The Olympic Games，体裁为演讲。演讲者介绍了奥运会的历史，有趣的故事以及一些著名的运动员及其奥运会成就，学生对话题有一定的熟悉感，但又了解得不够全面，因而容易激发学生的求知欲和对课堂的兴趣。

阅读策略提供了如何做一篇好的演讲的信息，学生可以在这些信息的指导下完成一篇好的演讲

学情分析：

本堂课授课对象为高一学生。高中生们青春、活力，运动场上的身影随处可见，对一切熟悉和未知事物充满好奇心和兴趣，因而对于奥运会的话题也充满热情。此阶段的学生有了一定的英语学习基础，更希望能够通过阅读能力的提高来促进写作的进步。因此，我们必须让学生掌握阅读方法，通过阅读文本，输入阅读信息及学习如何写演讲稿，由词到句，再由句到篇，把阅读和写作高效地结合起来，让学生的语言综合运用能力得到真正的提升。

Learning objectives: After this class, students will be able to : 1. know the structure of the speech 2.learn some words related to the Olympics: long jump, running, boxing, basketball, table tennis, hurdle, gymnastics, badminton, athlete, gold medal, champion

3. imitate to write some sentences using the phrases or the sentence patterns: be allowed to do sth./ no matter what/ make it possible for sb. to do sth./ make contributions to/ attributive-clause

4. write a short speech to introduce the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games with the help of the text. 5. realize the importance of the Olympic Games and learn some great spirits of the Olympic Games, such as teamwork, hard work, bravery and so on.

Activities: Enjoy a short video 【设计意图】在课前播放杨澜为2022年北京冬季奥运会做最后陈述的演讲视频，意在引起学生的兴趣，同时导入今天上课的主题。

Step 2 Presentation Activities: self-study 1.Ask students to go through the strategy quickly to have a general understanding of how to read a speech and check whether they have understand it. 【设计意图】此环节使学生了解何为好的演讲，一篇好的演讲通常具备哪些要素，为下面的阅读和写作提供理论基础。。

2. Fast reading Ask students to read the speech and find the structure of the passage. 【设计意图】此环节旨在让学生把握文章的框架结构，为后面的写一篇演讲稿做好准备。

3. Detailed reading Further study for some key vocabulary and phrases related to the topic. Further study for some useful expressions about how to make a speech 【设计意图】此环节首先让学生找到与写作话题有关的词汇及演讲稿万用句式，让学生为下文的演讲稿写作奠定基础。

Step 3 Practice Activities: individual work 1.

Let the students find the useful and important expressions and imitate to write. 2.

Writing: Suppose you are a volunteer of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, please write a short speech to introduce it. 3.

Present the students’ compositions on the screen, and comment on them. 【设计意图】让学生自己再从文中找到重要的短语句式，高级表达方法，仿写句子，以用在后面的写作中，进行一篇好的演讲，达到学以致用，输入是为了输出的目的。
