Teaching procedures:

Step 1

Reading strategy Show the definition of a speech and ways to make a good speech. 【设计说明】通过对阅读策略的引导，让学生能很好得注意演讲的要求。

Step 2

Fast reading Raise three questions from the reading passage, ask students read it quickly to find out the answers directly.

Step 3

Structure reading Check students understanding of the structure of the passage and get the main idea of each part. 【设计说明】通过对结构的理解，帮助学生了解文章的全局。

Step 5

Detailed reading Ask students to read part 2 and part 3 carefully and get more information of the Olympic Games and some famous athletes. Step 6

Homework Ask students to write a short summary about the Olympics. 【设计说明】通过家庭作业再次巩固所学内容。
