Teaching aims:

After learning Task, the students will be able to: 1.

Know more about the current situations of the world, especially the disasters and conflicts; 2.

Know different organizations and programmes of the UN as well as their acronyms; 3.

Express their opinions on solving problems.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead in Ask the students to think about ways to help them out of trouble.

Step 2 Raise the topic of the UN and its different organizations and programmes 1.

Step 3 Discussion Students will be given two situations and they are expected to work out which organizations people can turn to for help after learning about the different organizations of the UN.
