Read the story.本节课为5AU12中的一篇故事教学。讲述石器时代一个叫Yaz的男孩讨厌生肉，将肉投进火堆，发现肉的味道变得又香又好吃，从而改变了人们的饮食方式。了解石器时代人们的生活。

学情分析：

学生已有两年多的英语学习体验，对阅读故事有浓厚的兴趣。本节课通过阅读故事，了解石器时代人们的生活，认识火的用途，进一步认识用火安全。

教学三维目标

知识目标：

阅读故事，让学生了解火的用途，改变人们的饮食方式。

掌握部分单词句子。

3.

读懂故事，了解用火安全。

过程与方法：

通过阅读故事，了解故事发生的时代与当时人们生活的情况，问题驱动寻找关键信息，培养阅读策略。

情感、策略目标: 通过阅读，了解石器时代的人们生活方式，Yaz 不爱吃肉，却在偶然的情况下发现火烤过的肉味味道好极了，从此一家人学会了用火煮食。同时加强用火安全教育。

重难点

1.词汇：heat, light, not…at all, hate, ,throw…into 2.句型：Fire gives them heat and light. It does not taste good at all. We cook all our meat on the fire. 正确使用一般现在时复述故事，理解运用not…at all。
