How to evaluate a composition? IV Teaching procedures: Step1 Lead-in Ask the students whether they have imagined what their life will be like in ten years. Ask the students to read a passage,and answer the questions about the four students’ future plans.

Step2 Before writing 1.

Ask the students to think and discuss with their partners about what topics can be involved in future plan. (group discussion) 2.

The teacher chooses three topics: occupation, family and leisure activities, and ask the students to think about some appropriate expressions. 3.

The teacher presents some expressions connected with the topics, and ask the students to do some translating. Step3 Writing The students are asked to complete the composition within15 minutes. Step4 After writing 1.

The students are required to swap their writing with their partners. Read and modify their partner’s composition. (5min.)

The students are asked to take a photo of their compositions, and send them to the teacher computer.(2min.) 3.

The teacher choose two of them, and share them with the students. The students give comments on the compositions.(10min.) 4.

The students modify their own composition again.(3min.) Step5 Homework Ask the students to show the best composition of their group with that of another group, so that everyone can enjoy the high-quality compositions.
