Watch a video clip about Superman as a revison of what students have learnt in this unit and lead in the topic of abilities and personality. Q1:Who do you see in the video ? Q2: Do you know what Superman can do? (refer to textbook P86) Q3: What do you think of Superman? 2.

Brainstorm words about people’s abilities and personality with the help of pictures.

(polite, helpful, careful, kind, warm-hearted,brave,smart,clever…)

Task 2 Learn new words Learn new words and phrases in context. (lose one’s way, Project Hope, children in need, hear from sb, take part in, recommend sb for) Task 3 Read and analyze 1.

Read to get the format of a recommendation letter. 2.

Listen to analyze the structure. 3.

Read carefully to find out what kind of boy Daniel is and learn how to appreciate an aticle. 4.

Fill a table to review what has been learnt about Daniel. Task 4 Discuss and share 1.

Discuss in groups of four and share ideas with each other. Our School is going to have a parents’ meeting on the school Open Day. Your class teacher wants to give awards to some students.
