一、教学目标：

1、知识目标：听、说、认读形容词fat, thin, tall, short.

2、能力目标：能熟练地运用:Look at that monkey. It’s so fat.等句型，并能够在具体的语境中灵活运用。

3、情感目标：培养学生能够大胆地描述动物的特征。

二、教学重点:能在句型中运用Loot at......,It’s so tall,thin,fat short句型来描述物体的形态。

三、教学难点：单词tall 中[ l ] 的发音thin中的th的发音，short中的sh的发音。

（一）复习、热身。

1. Let’s Chant.

The man is the father – tall, tall, tall!

The woman is the mother – not so tall.

That’s the son – small, small, small.

They are a family, one and all!

2. Try to talk about the families.

(Teacher借用学生带来的全家福或Family tree来谈论各家庭成员的身材。) Look at your father. He’s tall.

Look at your mother. She’s not so tall.

Look at your brother. He’s short.

Look at your sister. She’s thin.

Look at your grandpa. He’s so fat.

Look at your grandmother. She’s fat, too.

Student try to talk about their families:

（二）导入、程现。

3. 通过上网播放有关动物歌曲的视频

设计意图：通过播放动物歌曲认学生见识多一些动物的同时可以顺便导入本单元的主题。

4. 打开单元主情景图并让学生认真观察，引导学生回答：Where are the animal?(They’re at the

zoo.)

带动学生根据老师指着图片的动物，补充句子：Look at_____. It’

____.

同时提示学生：Don’t feed the animals.

5. 上网搜索一些学生比较熟识且身材特出的动物。

如：tall giraffe, short squirrel, fat panda, thin

monkey, small mouse, big elephant, long snake, short snake, 等。

指导学生看上网收集到动物图说英语：

老师带动说：

Look at the giraffe. It’s so tall.

Look at the squirrel. It’s short.

Look at the panda. It’s fat.

Look at the monkey. It’s thin..

Look at the mouse. It’s small.

Look at the elephant. It’s so big.

Look at the snake. It’s so long.

Look at the snake. It’s short.

学生补充说：

6. 上网搜索个别特出的人物。如：tall man, short boy, fat woman, thin girl 等。

引导学生用英语说：

Look at the man. It’s tall.

Look at the boy. It’s short.

Look at the woman. It’s fat.

Look at the girl. It’s thin.

最后上网找一个超胖的人物作警告：Don’t be too fat. It’s not good for health. Try to keep fit every day.

（三）操练、程现。

7. 上网搜索一些身材特出的动物简笔画或少儿画（或者通过电脑制图工具让动物身材变得特出也可以），出示简笔画时，例如老师说：Look at my giraffe. It’s tall. Look at my cat. It’s fat. …

8. 要求学生动笔画出自己喜欢的动物，并在全班同学面前出示时用英语说：Look at my ….It’

…

（让学生学会英语表达自己喜欢的动物及其身材模样）

9. 播放课文视频。

（注意观察人物的表情）

10. 学生跟读课文一次（注意模仿语音语调）。

11. 学生分角色朗读。（注意语音语调）
