Unit 4.Transportation Part B Good morning,my dear judge.I am No.6.It’s my honor to be share my lesson report with you.The topic of this lesson is:”Unit 4.Transportation Part B”.There are seven parts in my lesson report and my focus will be on the analysis of teaching materials,teaching objectives and teaching procedures. Firstly,let’s focus on the analysis of teaching materials.This lesson is from Fujian Education Edition,Grade Four.The main topic is transportation.After finish this lesson ,students could understand the usage of the basic structures: “Does she go to ...by...?Yes,she does./No,she doesn’t. She goes by...”and they can use the structures to describe transportation.It not only train students listening and speaking abilities, but also cultivates their realization of which our country’s landscape is magnificent.The materials are related to the daily life.So I think this lesson is very useful. Secondly,I would like to talk about the analysis of students. Students of eight-five percent at this age have been familiar with transportation.They have a strong curiosity in English, but they are not easy to keep the attention for the

whole lesson. Based on the New Curriculum Standard, I set up 3 objectives.The first one is linguistic objectives.By the end of the class,students be able to use the new words(such as:aunt、place、ship and so on.)to discuss the transportation. Also,students will be able to use the key structures to talk about the ways of traffic.The second one is ability objectives.Students should know how to ask others about the ways of going out. And they will be able to improve their listening and speaking abilities.The last one is emotion objectives.By the end of the class, students should know that Taiwan is an inseparable portion of our country.As well,it can foster students consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition, Now,let me talk about the next part -teaching focus.Firstly,let’s focus on the key points.Students learn to how to use the key structures“Does she go to ...by...?Yes,she does./No,she doesn’t.She goes by...”in is know oral the communication.Then,my pronunciation of ‘y’. difficult point After above analysis,I will talk about the analysis of teaching methods.According to the New Curriculum Standard of

English,I will use communicative language teaching and discussing method. Based on the teaching objectives,I design my teaching procedures as follows:warming up and leading in which lasts for 4 minutes,presentation which lasts for 13 minutes,practise which lasts for 10 minutes,text learning which lasts for 10 minutes,consolidation which lasts for 2 minutes,homework which lasts for 1 minute. Firstly,let’s focus on warming up and leading in.At the beginning of the the class,after the daily greeting,I will ask students to sing a song together with me.The song is <

to Taiwan?Please listen.”I will play the text tape by multimedia and ask students find out the traffic way.And then I will lead in the new words teaching.Firstly,I show the picture of ship.At the same time,I will tell the students that there just is a Taiwan Strait between Fujian province and Taiwan province.So,we can go to Taiwan by ship. As same as the previous way,I will teach the other new words”plane,place,train”.In order to consolidate the words,I will design a test .I will show the word cards on the blackboard and write the numbers.When I say the number,students speak out the word as soon as possible.At last, I will hold a competition between students. Because time is limited, let me describe the following steps briefly .Now,learn the sentence patterns. (1)
Write down the new sentence patterns and explain them.”Does she go to ...by...?Yes,she does./No,she doesn’t. She goes by...”

Let students practice the sentence patterns in pairs. (3)

With the help of CAI to present the dialogue.Let students read the text follow the video. 2)
Play a game--Rushing to answer. 4
Play the video again and lead students to answer the follow questions: Who’s she? Where is she from? Does she go to Taiwan by plane? How does she go to Taiwan? 3)
Play the third time.Let students listen and imitate the dialogue. 4)
Role playing. Purpose:CAI can provide a real situation for students to understand the dialogue,and it also improve student’s speaking and listening abilities. Step 3:Practice 1.
Finish the Ask and Answer of Page 26.Divide the students into 4 groups to have a competition.Find out which group is the best. 2.
After 5 minutes,each group is supposed to send a pair to present it. Purpose:Task-based teaching is used here to develop student’s sense of cooperation and proper competition. Step 4:Teaching pronunciation 1.
Show the word cards;“goodbye,fly,my”. 5
Read them out to review the pronunciation of ‘Y’

Students read “happy, sally,story,library”by themself. 3.
Listen the video and follow several times. Let individual student speak out the pronunciation of ‘Y’

Step 6:Homework 1.

Review the new words and sentences. Make a survey about their family’s travel plan. Lastly,I would like to talk about the blackboard design.As you can see,my blackboard design is very clean and logical. Part 7;Blackboard Design. That’s all for my presentation,thank you for listening. In my teaching design,I provide students more chances to practise and design some games to arouse students interest and enthusiasm.Through all these designs,my class achieve the eager teaching effect.
