Step 1 Lead-in Enjoy a song. Step 2 Tell us your abilities. 1.

Ask students to identify activities that they can do well. 2. Encourage students to say the things they can do with “I can”.

Activity Two:

Step 1 Do a survey. 1. Do you know Lang Lang and Leehom Wang? They are great musicians. 2. Can you play the violin? Step 2 Listen and answer. Questions:

1. What can Daniel do? How about Sandy? 2. When did Daniel start to play the violin? 3. When did Sandy start to play the piano?

Step 3 Read in role and ask students to replace the underlined words with their own information. Step 4 Practice

Make a dialogue with partners in groups. Activity Three: Step 1 Show a picture about subjects the students learn and talk about it with them. What subjects do you have at school? Who is good at Chinese? ……

Step 2 Show a picture of the report card. 1. Ask students to read the report card on Suzy. 2. Listen to the tape and help Mr. Wu match the subjects with the information. 3. Ask students to read the report again and then have a memory test. 1

Step 3 Finish Part A2 on Page 87. Activity Four:
