五、教学准备

Step 1 Warming up

1. Greetings.

2. Free talk.

T:We usually go to school from Monday to Friday. I go to school by car.

How do you go to school?

S: I go to school…

T: Sometimes it’s very busy near our school gate. Just like this picture . (Look at the picture)

What can you see?

Ss: I can see many cars.

T: Yes, it’s a busy road.(Learn ‘road’)

Look, what does she want to do?

Ss: (Guide to say) Cross the road. (Learn ‘cross’)

T: Is it safe? (Learn ‘safe’)

Ss: No.

T: So think about your safety. (Learn ‘safety’)

How can you cross the road safely? (Learn safely)

Get to know the nominal of the three words.

T: To cross the road safely, we must follow the rule. (Learn ‘rule’) Today we are going to learn ‘unit 4 Road safety’.

Step 2 Presentation and practice

Pre-reading

1. T: Let’s get to know some words about the road traffic.

Look at this picture. What’s this?(Learn ‘road, pavement, crossing, zebra crossing, traffic lights)

2. Play a game: Look and judge.

T: look at the pictures ,if they are right, say yeah, yeah, yeah, if not, say no, no ,no.

3. T: So let’s think, how can you cross the road safely? What mustn’t you do on the road . ( Learn mustn’t , must)

While-reading

1. Watch and judge.( Read the exercises)

2. T: Is every road the same? Look and say. A zebra crossing , no zebra crossing.

3. T: How can you cross the road at the road crossing? Listen and fill in the form.

4. Learn ‘red man’ and ‘green man’.

T: Can we go? Sum up the model words.

Let’s practice. What must you not do?

5.T:Sometimes you cannot find a zebra crossing near you .So can you cross the road like that?Watch and say.

6.T:How can you cross the road without a zebra crossing.
