Analysis of teaching material The topic in this unit is about asking price. It starts with students talking about prices. We aim at leading the students to talk about price freely. Also students should master the target sentence structures well. II.Teaching aims:

Step1. Warming- up and revision. 1.

Greet the Ss as usual.

2. Revise the target languages : How much is this T-shirt? It’s 7 dollars. How much are these trousers? They’re six dollars. Step2. Presentation

Discussion. What colors are your clothes? How much are they?

Grammar Focus. Ask the students to get familiar with GRAMMER FOCUS, then lead them to read the sentences freely.

Step3. Practice 1.3a Lead the students to make sentences in the chart with the words in the three boxes. 2.3b Lead the students to look at the pictures and write the questions and answers. 3.3c Task1: student A, look at the pictures in 3b for a minute and then close your book. Student B, ask questions.

Language points how much意为“多少”，常用于询问价格。如果询问的是

可数名词单数或不可数名词的价格, 后面的be动词形式用is；

如果询问的是可数名词复数的价格，be 动词形式用are。

socks, shoes, shorts, trousers这类物品常常成对出

现, 所以它们作主语时, 和它们搭配的谓语动词用

复数形式.如果这类词前面有“... pair(s) of(……条/双)”修饰，谓语动

词就要根据pair的单复数形式发生相应的变化。
