Teaching procedures 1.In warm-up period (1) the Greetings with students (2) playing a game(invite some students to hold cards and finish “happy squat”). the purpose is to draw students’ attention and liven up the atmosphere. 2.In presentation period (1)I use PPT to show some female stars, and then conclude that: They are actress. Ask them :Are they beautiful? Students can master a direct feeling of the new word.

(2)Listening to the story for three times . For the first time I ask students to predict the story and answer a question: Who’s the actress? to make students get the whole understanding of the story. For the second time I lead students to learn the text one picture by one picture. In picture one, I design a task: listen and answer, they can find the answers from listening to the record. In picture2, I design a task : listen and choose, the question :How is Zoom’s mother? A. Beautiful B. Not beautiful In picture3.listen and make a choice: Is Zoom’s mother an actress? A. Yes B. No In picture 4: listen and make a guess. I use the picture to show the meaning of the phrase: Wait a minute. In picture5,I set the practice: listen and fill to help students to master the key words. In picture6, we listen and make a guess from watching a picture, teach the usage of the exclamatory sentences: How+ adjectives. (3)listen for the third time and follow the record. (4)After learning for the detailed knowledge, I use filling the blanks practice to help students to learn the text in the whole. Who’s that ___? She’s my ___.She’s ___.She’s an ___.Wait a ___. Look at ___. How ___! the purpose is that mastering the story in the whole for the second time. It’s helpful for the later output. 3.In practice period, students choose one and finish it. (1)guess the words(according to the shapes of the teacher’s mouth, students guess the right words)

(2)speaking sentences competition(which group speaks more sentences can win.) (3)role-play(students work in pairs to finish the dialog.).the purpose is that different students can choose different practices 4.In production period (1)Students work in a group and choose their favorite cartoon character and introduce it. (2)Use PPT to present a few happy family pictures to permeate the feeling education for develop their love for their family. 5.let students to make a summary What have you got today? 6.homework (1) retell the story to your parents (2) to do some housework for your parents.
