Teaching procedure:

Ⅰ.Warming-up

1.

Introduce the teacher and greet to the students, let the students know how to make a competation in this class.

2.Talk about sth in the Arctic Ⅱ.Presentation.

1.Show picture and let the student to learn the new words: lake, ice, hill, snow. Show the title ：Unit 6：Life in the Arctic. 2.Let’s watch a video about the polar bear: What can the polar bear do in the video ? 3. The polar bear lives in the arctic,(stick the polar on the BB) what does the polar bear want to do ?Listen to the tape and find the answers.

.Task1: learn the polar bear catches the hare: A: How to catch a hare ? listen to the chant ,number the pictures and match the sentences. then you can check in pairs.

B: Read and act the four sentences

Work in groups then choose a best polar bear to act. 4.The polar bear runs up the hill, so he comes to the top,he comes to the stops.

Why ? let’s look at the last paragraph and find out the answer: Does the polar bear eat the hare at last? Task2: Let’s listen to the tape and say it loudly, pay attention to the last words, try to find the words like this : there---bear 2.work in groups, choose a paragraph you like best to read it. 3. Choose a group show their chant, others let’s listen and judge: how many points can they get? 2 or 4 points. 4.Choose a group to show the new chant, others listen and judge: Today we learn polar bear wants to catch a hare. Now the polar bear is warmer and warmer, the polar bear is less and less, let’s have a look:(show video ) What can we do for the polar bears?

In our daily life , we should :plant more and more trees. save water, save electricity, go to school on foot or by bike. 1
