2. Warming up: Let’s chant. Monday, Monday, math on the Monday. Tuesday, Tuesday, art on the Tuesday! Wednesday, Wednesday, computers on the Wednesday. Thursday, Thursday, P.E. on the Thursday! Friday, Friday, my favorite Friday! Step 2. Presentation

1. Present days in a week. Show the picture of calendar. Teach Ss from Sunday to Saturday. Ss read after the teacher and remember the days in a week.

(Sunday,Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Friday and Saturday )

2. Present the using of "on + 星期几",

T: When is your art class?

Ss: It's on Monday.

T: When is your music class?

Ss: It's on Thursday.

3. Present some new adjectives, free, relaxing, easy, fun, cool, etc.

Play a piece of music and ask Ss “

What do you think of the music?”

to learn “relaxing”.

Then show some pictures to learn other words.

Read the words after the teacher and then Ss read together.

4. Work on 1a.

Match the words on the left with their opposites on the right. Then check the answers. Ss read the words after teacher, then, try to remember the words.

Step 3. Listening

Work on 1b.

David is talking about his classes and schedule.

Listen to the recording and check (√) the words you hear in 1a.

2. Check the answers with the class.

Work on 1c.

1. Read through the schedule.

T: Look at the schedule below. This is David's schedule. December 25th is Monday, December 26th is Tuesday…

Read through the schedule and find out what classes David have from Monday to Friday.

2. Now listen to the tape and circle the classes David talks about on this schedule.

Step 4. Pair work

1. Look at the schedule above and complete the conversation in 1d.

Ss work in pairs to complete the conversation. Then let some read out the conversation to check the answers. 2. Ss practice the conversation with his or her partner.

3. Talk about your classmates' favorite subject using the conversation in 1d.
