2.A Guessing Game---Who is he/she? T: Boys and girls, I have asked you to draw a picture about your favorite teacher in your group, and show us your picture and describe the teacher you have drawn. Then the other students will have a chance to guess who is he/she. What subject does he/she teach you? Have you down? S: Yes. T: Well down. At first, I will give you an example. I will introduce one of my favorite students.

Revision.

1.Review some important words about different subjects. T: Just now, we have talked about many teachers and many subjects. Today we will learn to talk about our favorite subjects. Before that, let’s review some important words. Show some important words on the PPT, and guide the students to talk about and repeat them. 3.

Review some important words about the days of a week. T: What’s your favorite day of the week? S1: Monday is my favorite day, because I have PE class this day. S2: Friday is my favorite day, because I will have two days off. 3. Review some new adjectives: free, cool, busy…

Show a picture of someone who is busy doing sth. And then show the word "busy" on the PPT. Then show a picture of someone who has nothing to do. Show the word "free" on the PPT. …

Let Ss read the words free, busy, cool loudly. Then review the words: boring, difficult, easy, interesting, fun

Work on 1a. Match the words on the left with their opposites on the right. Then check the answers. 5.

Students read the words after teacher, then, try to remember the words.

Before-Listening 1.

Have a brainstorming. Try to guide the students to think about how to talk about their favorite subjects? Why? When is the class? Who is the teacher? At last, make a conclusion. 5.

8. Writing

T: Guys, today, we have talked about David’s favorite subject. So, how about yours? Now work in your group, try to find someone to interview his/her favorite subjects, then write an article about that. I will show you an example, and you can add more information. Homework
