一、教材分析：

本课时是冀教版五年级英语下册第二单元的第一课，课文内容是延续上一单元Danny,Jenny,LiMing and Mrs Li.一行四人去北京旅行，现在到达北京火车站，在车站谈论的一些话题。教学内容贴近学生生活，有利于培养他们在真实情境中用英语进行交际的能力。本课涉及到了一些复杂的可数名词单数变复数的词汇及句型，在教学中应该注意帮助学生进行归类总结。在口语交际时，也要注意句型中单复数的正确应用。

二、学情分析：

学生对英语兴趣浓厚，比较喜欢分角色朗读及对话表演等形式。对于名词单复数，学生对可数名词变复数（+s）的形式很熟悉，对其他变复数形式知道的较少。本课中出现的特殊变化形式（men\women\children），学生是初次接触。学生对单复数句型变化有所了解，但应用中还不熟悉，经常会出现错误。在教学中应该注重口语练习，以巩固所学知识。

1.学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇：men women child people many

2. 学生能认读、理解并应用下列句型 They are on their way to... There are... There are many... 能力目标：能灵活使用现在进行时表示正在做的事情。

情感目标：

1、提高学生的观察能力，培养学生探究事物的兴趣。

2、培养学生较好的文化意识与英语语感。

3、增强学生合作意识及良好的竞争意识。

重点难点：

1、要求掌握四会词语：men women people many 2、能正确运用“ men 、women 、children”这些名词的单、复数形式。

教学方法：激趣导入、游戏互动及情境创设。

3、Show the picture of “Some famous places in Beijing” to the students. So, Beijing is great! Let’s go to Beijing by train.

【设计意图】出示一些关于北京的图片，使学生不知不觉引入新知，街接自然，容易接受新知识。

4、课件出示Beijing Train Station图, Look, what’s this place? It’s Beijing Train Station.Oh, We arrive in Beijing.板书课题并领读。【设计意图】通过多媒体课件出示单词直观、形象，能吸引学生的注意力，激发学习兴趣，并在教授单词时展示各个词之间的联系，渗透给学生学习策略。

4、Open your book and look at the part two. Listen to the tape, then answer these questions: 1) What are the women doing? 2) What are the children doing? 3) What are the men doing? Let the student to answer questions and answer correct give evaluation. 【设计意图】学生带着问题听录音，可以帮助学生理解文本大意，利于培养学生语言理解能力。适当的评价，会激发学生的学习兴趣。
