在复合句中起名词作用。名词可以放在主宾表同位置，那么把从句也放在主宾表同位置，就叫名词性从句。

主语从句

作主语，eg：That he will come

is certain.

宾语从句

作宾语，eg：I know that he will come.

名词性从句

表语从句

作表语，eg：That is why I study hard.

同位语从句(单独讲)

作同位语，eg：I have no idea when he will be back.

1.主语从句

1）Example sentences: That knows Spanish is known to all.

主语从句的位置

：放句首。

主语较长时通常放在句子后边，用it做形式主语

2）it做形式主语三种句式

a.

It is +名词＋从句

It is a pity that we can’t go. 很遗憾我们不能去。

b.

It is ＋形容词＋从句

It is clear that Tom has returned.

很显然汤姆已经回来了。

c.

It is ＋过去分词＋从句

It is said that has told her everything. 3)

他考试肯定会考好. It is certain that he will do well in the exam. 

据说他已告诉了她一切. It is said that has told her everything. 2.表语从句

1）基本结构为：主语

+ 系动词

+ that从句

The fact is that we have lost the game. 事实是我们已经输了这场比赛。

The question is whether we can finish the experiment by Friday.

问题在于我们能否在周五之前完成这项实验.

2）where, how, why 的三种句式：

This/That is where…这/那就是…的地方。

This/That is why …这/那就是…的原因。

This/That is how….

这/那就是…的方法。

3）Practice:--translate

这就是我背新单词的方法.

This is how I memorize

new words. 那就是他昨天缺席的原因.

That is why he was absent yesterday. 这就是我们升国旗的地方.

This is where we raise the national flag.

3.宾语从句

1）Example sentences: 

Pay attention to what Mrs Wang said. 

I am glad that I can make friends with you. 自我归纳：

位置：

位于介词、实意动词、特殊形容词_之后。

that 只引导.不做成分可以_省略。
