I. Idea of Design:

The emphasis of teaching is to train students’

abilities of reading, comprehending and working

out problems by themselves, so the methods of

Task-based Language Teaching will be used in this

class.

V. Preparation before Class:

1. Divide students into 4 groups and ask each group

to give a presentation about the information of

VI. Teaching Procedures:

Step 1

Review

Ask students to read the new words and phrases of the unit together. Step 2

Lead-in Look at the picture and ask: Who is she? What does she do? Step 3

Students’ Presentations Each group sends one or two students to give us a presentation about the information of Lin Qiaozhi, orally or by PPT. After their performances, a video about the achievement of Lin Qiaozhi will be shown to all.

VIII. Teaching Introspection:

Some

students feel bored about reading; some are tired and sleepy as they have many classes a day. So, it’s important to raise the atmosphere of the class. Maybe some group activities or competitions are good for our class teaching and learning.

By listening, can the students imitate pronunciation and intonation of speakers native and improve theirs. By summarizing, students can improve their ability concluding. Besides, summarizing is a good practice to prepare for the Listening and Speaking of University Entrance Exam.
