让学生掌握一些具体探险过程中的一些具体词组和祈使句：Put on your boots and your cowboy hat./Get on your horse./Go for a ride./Stop your horse./Get off./Sit down on the ground. 教学难点：

完整的表演整个故事。

教学过程：

Step I Warming up

1、Greetings. 2、Watch a video and answer the questions. Who is the girl? What does the girl like? 3、Show the topic. T: The girl is Dora, and she likes adventures.

Step II Presentation 1、Free talk. T: Do you like adventures? Ss: Yes. T: Like you, Toby also likes adventures. And today Toby will go adventures. Today, we are going to learn the a story-- Toby’s adventure.

2、Learn the new sentences. (1)

Guess: What will Toby wear? T: Can you guess what will Toby wear if he goes adventures? No.1

A T-shirt

No.2 A cowboy hat and boots Ss: No.2. T: Yes, because it is more safe to wear a cowboy hat and boots. (2)

T:Let’s go adventures.First you have to put on your boots and your cowboy hat.(read and mime) (3)

T:How can we go adventure? By bike? On foot.

Ss: By horse.

T: Yes, and Toby goes adventures by bike. Now get on your horse and go for a ride.(read and mime) (4)

T: After a long time, how are you feeling? Ss: Tired. T: Right, you’re tired. And what do you want to do?

Ss: Stop the horse and get off. T: How to stop the horse?(Try to mime the actions.) (5)

T: Toby is tired and he sits down on the ground.

(Listen and repeat) (6)

T: Ouch!What happened? Ss: Toby sits on a cactus. T: Yes, you’ve sat on a cactus.

T points and Ss say the sentences. 5、Listen and number the pictures. 6、Listen and fill in the number. 7、Act out the whole story.
