2. Help students learn the organization of a complete passage. Teaching difficult points:

Help students learn how to make notes and write them into the passage.

Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead in 1. Paly a video about Huai’an for students.

2. Free talks: Which city did the video show? How do you like Huai’an?

Step 2 Pre-writing 1. Tell students we are going to introduce Huai’an to others by writing an article and give them 3 detailed requirements. 2. Ask students: what would you like to introduce about Huai’an?

3. Conclude their answers

4. Show students some pictures of places of interest, traffics, food and people in Huai’an, and help students make four notes.

5. Learn the structure of John’s script and help students learn how to organize their own passage. Step 3 While-writing 1. Represent the structure on the blackboard 2. Help students to come up with some useful expressions 3. Guide students to write those useful expressions into different paragraphs. 4.
