I. Teaching Objectives: 1. Knowledge and Skill: The students will be able to listen, speak, read and write

new words: Monday, Tuesday; to grasp the new sentence patterns: When do you have PE lessons? We have PE lessons on Monday and Tuesday. 2. Process and Method: The students will get knowledge and skills through group activities and games. 3. Emotion and Value: Sports are good for our health. We should do more exercise. II. Teaching Process: Step 1. Warming up: Let’s chant.

Step 2. Lead-in:

Let’s guess. Now, boys and girls. Please look at this photo and guess. What day is it? Thus, lead in the two new words Monday, Tuesday. 3. Practice: Let’s spell at random. Step 3: Presentation 1.

Look at the pictures about different sports, and lead in the word and sentence

sports/ When do you have PE lessons? 2. Gao Wei also likes PE very much. Now he is talking with a new PE teacher. (Ss are asked to listen with questions.) Step 4. Practice 1. Read the dialogue and practice in pairs, then do role-play. 2. Let’s do a survey. Step 5. Promotion 1.

Watch a video to know the first day of the week around the world. III. Homework Must do: 1. Recite the dialogue and words. 2. Finish the exercise book.
