Teaching aims：

1．Can listen ,speak, read and write the new sentences 2．Can listen, speak，and read the two words: village, city. 3．Can use the pattern：There are ... in the city / village to describe the scenery of a city or a village.

4.Lead the students`interest of learning English and love the nature. Teaching

Teaching steps: Step1: Warm-up 1.

Sing “hello” song to greet.

（设计意图）让学生在轻松愉悦的歌曲中进行热身，使学生很快进入学习状态，通过自由问答使学生很快走近老师，自然引入本课的学习。

Step 2: Presentation 1.Teach “city”

T: Yulin is a “city.”

Xi`an is a city.

What else? Big screen show other cities. S1: Beijing is a city. S2: Shanghai is a city. …

T: What`s in the city ?

（设计意图）引导学生启动思维，张口说英语，了解地理知识。

2.Teach “building”

a. T: What`s in the city? Big screen show picture of tall buildings of the city. Teach to read like this : build ,build ,building, tall building ,many tall buildings..

b. Ask the Ss to spell the new word “building”

c. Help to say : There are many tall buildings in the city.

（设计意图）通过直观的画面呈现高楼林立的城市风光，问题导入，让学生由词到句，由易到难，进行词不离句练习。

3. Teach “road”

T: What else? Where are the cars? a.

Teach to read like this with gesture :

road, road, roads b.

Ask the Ss to spell in groups. c.

Try to say : There are many roads in the city. d.

What else? Ask the Ss to say more about the city. （设计意图）走进生活，鼓励学生大胆张口，运用语言。

4.Teach “village”

T: City is busy everyday.

Sometimes ,I like a village ,I was born in a small village, let`s go and see, OK? Big screen show the picture of a village . T: Look , this is my village,

Is it beautiful? What`s in my village? 5. Teach “house”, “tree”

T: Is there a river?/path? Ss: Yes/No. a. T: Look , there are many small

houses./green trees. b. Teach the singular form of the new words first. c. Ask the Ss to spell the new words.

（设计意图）走进我的村庄，通过多媒体课件呈现树村中的诸多房子，城乡差异一目了然，一步步引导学生进行听，说，读，写训练。

6. Teach “bridge”

a. Enjoy a song “London Bridge”

T: Is there a bridge in my village? Guess! b. Big screen show a bridge in my village. c. Ask the Ss to read one by one and spell. d. Chant: small bridge, big bridge, many bridges. There are many bridges in my village.

（设计意图）通过生动的画面，让学生在歌曲欣赏中，稍作休息，自然引出新词汇学习。

T: Do you like my village? Big screen show :welcome to my village, look, the sky is blue, the air is fresh, there are beautiful flowers. There are many green trees, There are nice bridges, there are many small houses. （设计意图）回顾所学语言，进而培养学生的阅读能力。
